Ironport Anti-Spam & Anti-Virus Filtering

Anyone who uses email will unfortunately be familiar with associated threats such as spam and viruses. These have grown hugely over the last few years, to the extent that they are now a major cause of lost productivity and wasted time both for network administrators and end users.

We have invested heavily in the market leading and award winning Cisco IronPort Anti-Spam and Antivirus technology to clean users email, and use it to filter over a million messages a month. The spam filtering uses Cisco’s powerful Senderbase reputation network and the virus filtering is based on a combination of IronPort’s virus outbreak filters which can deal with attacks as they spread across the world in real-time, and AV leader Sophos’s virus definitions to combat known viruses.

This service is provided free of charge to users of our Hosted Exchange service, and is also available to users who have shared or reseller hosting, manage their own email infrastructure with us on a VPS or dedicated server, or have their own on-premise email servers. The only requirement is that you will need to have your own domain – we cannot filter email for shared addresses such as hotmail.com.

We can also work with you to customise your email security policy for both inbound and outbound email, adding disclaimers and blocking sensitive or confidential data such as credit card numbers, which can aid PCI-DSS compliance.

Our advanced IronPort filtering is available for £2/user per month or £22/user per year, or free with our Hosted Exchange mailboxes.
